BEYOND THE PINK RIBBON:
KNOWLEDGE IS THE KEY TO PREVENTION
PRESENTED BY PANGEA ORGANICS & ABC CARPET & HOME

WHO: Pangea Organics, makers of ecocentric body and skincare, is committed to creating products that are always organic, handcrafted, fair trade (whenever possible), and cruelty free. You will absolutely never find any questionable ingredients in their products—no petrochemicals, parabens, GMOs, or other synthetic ingredients. It was Pangea founder and CEO Joshua Onysko’s personal devotion and commitment to inspiring social sustainability that sparked the inception of Pangea Organics. A generous portion of the company’s profits are helping build the Pangea Institute, an emerging non-profit organization dedicated to researching and teaching all aspects of sustainable living and business practices.

During the month of October, Pangea Organics is launching its first annual Beyond the Pink Ribbon breast cancer awareness campaign. The campaign is designed to inform consumers of the environmental risks of breast cancer and to educate them about healthy alternatives that may help lower these risks.

WHAT: In support of their Beyond the Pink Ribbon campaign, Pangea Organics will host a fundraising event at abc carpet & home, a leader in socially responsible business. The event will feature an address from holistic oncologist, Mitchell L. Gaynor, M.D.; as well Joshua Scott Onysko, Founder & CEO, Pangea Organics; Paulette Cole, CEO and Creative Director, abc carpet & home; and a representative from the Breast Cancer Fund.

Tickets to the event can be purchased by calling Pangea Organics toll-free 877.679.5854 or by emailing libby@pangeaorganics.com. 100% of all ticket sales from the event will benefit the Breast Cancer Fund’s Climb Against the Odds ’08 and are fully tax deductible.

WHY: New studies indicate that diets rich in plant antioxidants may lower the risk of breast cancer. Since your skin is your first line of defence, it is important to make sure that what you put ON your body is as beneficial as what you put IN your body. That’s why Pangea Organics creates organic skincare that is rich in plant antioxidants. Now Pangea wants to educate the rest of world about the how many toxins we’re exposed to each day (i.e. how many we put on our skin) and how to eliminate them.

WHEN: Thursday, October 18, 2007
6:30 – 10:00 pm

WHERE: abc carpet & home
888 Broadway at East 19th Street
